The concept for the success of Signet Golf Associates was based on two important foundations:
- The principals of the company would be the ones to handle the day-to-day operations of the facilities. The individuals who sell the contract to the client would ultimately be the individuals who are responsible for their facility.
- When a commitment is made to the client, the action is followed through regardless of the effort or cost required.
These foundations have guided Signet Golf Associates and remain intact today. As a result, we continue to operate with a controlled number of clients that allow us to maintain personal contact with the client and on-site management staff.

Our executive team has over 70 years of combined experience in golf course management and marketing. Signet is unique in the industry today in its approach to upper management and accountability. Peter Dejak, Ted Staats and Bonnie Hittepole are involved on a daily basis with the individual projects. With their extensive background in course operations, agronomy, marketing and finance, they understand the operation and are able to make proactive decisions to benefit the facility rather than reactive decisions after the fact.
The hands on approach by the principals, provides Signet managed facilities that additional edge over other facilities that is necessary to be successful in today’s very competitive marketplace. This allows a client the comfort of knowing that the individuals who sold the management to them are also the individuals who will manage their investment.
As is evident by our composite resume, we have successfully managed golf course facilities of all levels and types. We have successfully completed feasibility studies, built and renovated golf courses, completed numerous and varied consulting projects, prepared several golf courses for elaborate openings, organized large media events and helped to get golf course facilities we were associated with rated both locally and nationally. This extensive ‘in-the-trenches’ experience has prepared us well to nurture our clients through the difficult cycle we are presently experiencing in the golf business.
